Eye-watering cost of Cristiano Ronaldo's romantic break with Georgina Rodriguez

Cristiano Ronaldo enjoyed a romantic Easter getaway with girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez - at an eye-watering cost.

The Portuguese superstar jetted to Dubrovnik, Croatia with his partner after helping Juventus to a 2-1 win over Fiorentina on Saturday.

They spent three days in the stunning coastal area - but according to Mundo Deportivo , Ronaldo still spent around €20,000 (£17.3k) on the extravagant, three-day trip.

The cost included a stunning, €7,000-per-night villa on the shores of the Adriatic Sea, covering three floors with spacious rooms and high ceilings.

The villa, named Scheherezade, his five en-suite bedrooms as well as a swimming pool, jacuzzi and service personnel.

It also included a private beach, with the couple also renting transportation to taste the best local cuisine in the area.

They visited the island of Lopud, taking in stunning sea views as Ronaldo was pictured posing with staff after their meal.

They also went much more upmarket for a second night, taking in the Michelin star 360 Restaurant in Dubrovnik, featuring a tasting menu costing around £100 per person.

The pair kept the trip fairly low-key on social media, although Rodriguez tagged herself in Croatia as she posted a snap in a Roberto Cavalli jumpsuit posing on a wooden staircase on her Instagram .

Ronaldo also shared a picture on Instagram as he showed his shredded physic sat on the rocks near the sea.

With the costs of fuel and use of his private plane expected to have cost around €2,000 over the two days, it is fair to say Ronaldo splashed the cash to treat his girlfriend on the luxury getaway with Juventus already wrapping up the Serie A title.

There have been reports the former Real Madrid superstar could leave Turin before his current contract ends, but he's rumoured to have given club bosses a six-man shortlist of transfer targets he wants to join him at the Allianz Stadium.
