
An eye-catching, grass-cloaked tea house is seen in Shibuya Ward, Tokyo, a stone's throw from the National Stadium in Shinjuku Ward. The nearly six-meter-tall wooden tea house was designed by architect Terunobu Fujimori for Pavilion Tokyo 2021, an event aimed at promoting the appeals of modern Japanese architecture and art. The tea house will be open to the public from Thursday through Sept. 5, along with exhibits by other world-renowned architects and artists including Kazuyo Sejima and Yayoi Kusama.
