'Extreme worry' for missing girl, 14, who 'rarely misses school' and hasn't been seen since Sunday

Police are 'extremely worried' about a missing teenage girl from Gorton.

Mineh Onomake was last seen on Cardrona Street at around 3.45pm on Sunday (May 23).

The 14-year-old 'rarely misses school' and hasn't been seen by her family for three days, police said.

Detectives are now urging her to come home, and said: "Mineh if you are reading this please know you are not in trouble, your family love you and just want you home safely."

Mineh is described as being black, 5ft 8ins tall and of a medium build with black shoulder length hair.

She was last seen wearing black jogging bottoms, a black hoody with white writing across the chest, a red puffer jacket with a black hood and black and white Nike Air Jordan 11 trainers.

Superintendent Helen Critchley, of GMP's City of Manchester division, said the force are 'extremely worried' about her whereabouts.

"She is a young girl who very rarely misses school and has not been seen for three days", she added.

"Mineh if you are reading this please know you are not in trouble, your family love you and just want you home safely.

"I urge anyone with any information about Mineh's current whereabouts or her movements since Sunday to contact police immediately so we can reunite this family."
