'Extreme concern' for welfare of missing man, 30

The family of a dad-of-two, who has another baby on the way, say they are "lost without him" and are "extremely concerned" for his welfare eight days after he went missing. Thomas Bates, 30, from Stourport-on Severn, was last seen in Lyndney in Gloucestershire on Thursday, March 2.

He was last seen in a car which is now believed to be in the Chepstow area, according to West Mercia Police. It is a blue/silver-coloured Hyundai 140 with registration number EX67 CXZ.

Thomas's partner Danielle Parkes told WalesOnline he has links to Chepstow and Newport through his job as a carpenter. She said: "We all just want him home and I am devastated and lost without him. I just hope he knows how much he knows he is loved by me, his children, and family and also friends." She added: "If he sees this he needs to know he can come home. We're all here to support him."

She added he has been spotted in the the Bell Hanger pub and possibly the Queen's Head pub both of which are in Chepstow. Thomas has a stepdaughter, seven, and a one-year-old daughter. He currently has another baby on the way – a boy, which Danielle said he "always wanted". Thomas is described as a white man, 5ft 9ins tall, with a shaved head and is close shaven with stubble. He is of slim build, but is muscular on top, and bears tattoos of song lyrics and phrases on both arms.

He usually wears tracksuit bottoms and a big grey jacket with fur around the hood. Thomas’ family are extremely concerned for his welfare, police have said. They have urged anyone with information to call 999.

On Friday night Gwent Police put out a missing persons appeal in which they said Thomas was "last seen in Tesco Superstore, Chepstow, at around 9.30pm on Thursday, March 2, and officers are concerned for his welfare". They advised anyone with information to call 101 quoting reference 2300076532.
