Extraordinary Washington state ‘castle’ guarded by knight in shining armour on the market for £435,000

A four-bedroom “castle” in the US Pacific North-west, with a truly extraordinary sales pitch, has been listed for sale for £435,000.

As well as close-ups of the battlements, fortress wall and vaulted ceilings, the listing also has a person clad in a medieval suit of armour to show off the castle’s fairytale credentials.

Action shots show the “knight” playing hockey in the courtyard, chopping oranges using swords in the kitchen and cooling off in a walk-in shower.

The versatile knight appears in most of the 50 photos but isn’t actually mentioned on the sales listing for the property, although there was plenty of room to include the number of bricks it took to construct the home — 40,000 — less than 20 years ago.

Set in 10 acres just outside of Chattaroy town in Washington state, five hours’ drive east of Seattle, the castle home’s new owners will be able to survey their kingdom from the master bedroom in the North Tower.

The South Tower has a further three bedrooms, a living room and a bar.

The property was listed for sale with Re/Max Of Spokane on Monday and has already found legions of adoring fans on Zillow Gone Wild’s Instagram account.
