Extraordinary Means by Robyn Schneider - review

To be honest I only picked this book up because of the cover. I remember seeing it one time on the Internet and instantly falling in love with it. I just knew I needed to have this book.

Reading the summary I knew this book was going to be heartbreaking, but I never expected it to be inspiring, funny and heart warming too. I remember buying it and reading it all on the same day – it was just that good. Schneider has a poetic but juvenile style of writing that reminds me of John Green, but with a unique rhythm that makes her stand out.

Extraordinary Means

The story is about Lane and Sadie, who both were diagnosed with a new, incurable and contagious tuberculosis and sent to a special camp for teens like them. I really enjoyed the plot of the story because while it may not be original, it was still unique and captivating. I couldn’t help falling in love with the main characters. I also grew fond of some of the secondary characters who were hilarious and made the story more real to me.

This book was amazing, and while the ending was quite predictable I wouldn’t change a single thing about this book. This book make me laugh, cry and smile, but most importantly it made me think and see some things differently. So I advise everyone to read this book and hopefully you’ll all come to love this book as much as I did!
