Extra time for journey in and around Armadale

Drivers are being warned of disruption in a West Lothian town from later this month.

Road users travelling through Armadale are advised of upcoming works by Scottish Water that may result in increased journey times.

Scottish Water will be undertaking essential works to replace lead pipework outside numbers 40 to 44 West Main Street from September 27 to October 11.

Due to proximity of the cross, traffic will be controlled by four-way temporary traffic lights.

During this period the permanent lights at the cross will be switched off with the temporary system taking precedent.

It is likely that local bus stops will be impacted during the works with any changes to be publicised prior to work starting.
