Hospitals in Leeds are in urgent need of cleaners and porters during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Civic Enterprise Leeds Cleaning team is urging people searching for work to apply for these roles and support Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
In a statement, the team said: "Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust are working on business continuity plans to ensure they can keep Leeds Hospitals running safely. They are currently experiencing staff shortages in certain area’s such as cleaning and portering.
"If anyone would be willing to help out and work any additional hours at LTHT hospital sites please ring our office on 0113 3782337 with your name and contact number.
"You are not committing to any work, someone would then contact you to discuss options, the city would really appreciate your support with this in such difficult times."
There are 42 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Leeds and a woman, who was in her 80s and had an underlying health condition, became the first person to die in the city after contracting the virus.
In the UK, more than 8,000 people have tested positive, and the death toll stands at 422.
Public Health England states: "The most common symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are recent onset of a new continuous cough and/or high temperature.
"If you have these symptoms, however mild, stay at home and do not leave your house for seven days from when your symptoms started. You do not need to call NHS 111 to go into self-isolation.
"If your symptoms worsen during home isolation or are no better after seven days, contact NHS 111."
