Extortion case: ATS gets custody of deported gangster Suresh Pujari

THANE: Gangster Suresh Pujari — who had been deported from the Philippines to India — was produced before a chief judicial magistrate court in the district headquarters town of Thane in Maharashtra.

Pujari was remanded to the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) custody till December 25 in an extortion case — registered with the Mahatma Phule police station in Kalyan — which is being investigated by the ATS, said a police officer.
