A number of Extinction Rebellion (XR) activists have been arrested during a protest on the second day of their "summer uprising".
A group had gathered at a concrete works in east London to block its entrances, with Scotland Yard confirming it had detained some of those there.
The group blocked streets in London, Glasgow, Cardiff, Bristol and Leeds on Monday as they towed boats into carriageways to stop traffic, as members gave talks or performed music for those gathered.
The activists are pushing for the Government to "act now" on climate change issues which they have highlighted, with details of further action expected this morning.
