Extinction Rebellion protesters have marched to Trafalgar Square in defiance of a capital-wide protest ban.
The latest action comes amid a growing backlash against the Met Police over its decision to ban the climate change protests.
The group will seek to apply for judicial review at the High Court as early as tomorrow to challenge a public order banning more than two Extinction Rebellion protesters convening anywhere in London.
Mayor of London Sadiq Khan said he has reached out to the Met Police to ensure the protest can continue "legally and peacefully".
