Climate change activists from pressure group Extinction Rebellion have staged a sit down protest on Glasgow’s Squinty Bridge.
A number of people are blocking the road which is just yards away from the COP26 campus at the SEC where world leaders are gathered.
It is understood that traffic is being diverted away from the scene as police have temporarily closed the road.

Video footage from the scene shows a large number of demonstrators dancing, clapping and playing drums as they slowly walk across the Clyde Arc.
Many are holding banners with one reading: “How many cops to arrest climate chaos?”

Reports from the scene claim that officers are advising the protestors to leave by using the nearby Squiggly bridge along the Clyde.
A number of demonstrations have taken place across the city including a rally outside the JP Morgan building on Waterloo Street.
Extinction Rebellion have further protests planned throughout the two-week conference which is being attended by world leaders including US President Joe Biden.
