Extent of Rangers' season ticket waiting list revealed amid renewal deadline

Rangers have over 18,000 supporters on their season ticket waiting list.

It comes after the renewal date for current season ticket holders passed on Monday, May 5.

Rangers' Fan Advisory Board met with several senior members of the club, including Chief Executive Officer Patrick Stewart, and a number of issues were discussed.

One was season tickets, and as supporters gear up for the new campaign, it has been confirmed that the Ibrox club have 18,240 people on their waiting list.

Rangers' deal with shirt-maker Castore was also put under the microscope. The club signed an agreement with the brand in 2023, which will, it has recently been revealed, run until 2030.

Since the agreement was penned, Castore have acquired rights to the Umbro brand professional teams' sub-license. This means that, from season 2025/26 onwards, Rangers' kits will be produced under the Umbro brand.

The club have three more games of wearing the current campaign's kits, the first of which takes place this weekend against Aberdeen

Barry Ferguson is desperate to get a first win as interim head coach at Ibrox under his belt. His team are without a home win in seven: "It's not just a personal motivation for myself, it should be for the players as well," said Ferguson.

"They understand that seven games is far too long. I understand that. The supporters certainly understand that. So that's all the motivation you need is to go and make sure you get the three points against an Aberdeen team who are still going for third place, who have a cup final to play as well.

"So they'll be champing at the bit to make sure that they put a performance in because they want to be in that cup final team.

"I fully understand that it's going to be a tough game. But bring it on.

"And from my side, these are games you want to be involved in. And with all the noises floating about, about this manager, that manager and what's going to be happening, one thing I will say about the group of boys and the staff inside the building is they've been very professional.

"They've worked hard this week again to make sure that we certainly get our first victory."
