MUMBAI: The Bombay high court on Friday disposed of a petition by the Indian Hotels and Restaurants Association (AHAR) after the BMC informed it that it had extended the time till September 30 for shops and establishments to put up signboards in Marathi.
A bench led by Justice Ramesh Dhanuka was submitted a notification by BMC advocate Dhruti Kapadia on July 7 on the extension. AHAR advocate Vishal Thadani said its members will try their best to comply within the extended time-frame.
The AHAR petition had urged for six months to comply with the mandate. The deadline was May 31.
