Leeds United were straight out of the blocks against Cardiff City at Elland Road as they surged to a 2-0 half-time lead
Seeking an eighth consecutive Championship win, Leeds wasted no time in taking the game to the Bluebirds, with Helder Costa getting on the end of a superlative Pablo Hernandez cross after six minutes and burying the ball past Neil Etheridge.
The hosts then doubled their advantage just two minutes later, as Patrick Bamford was able to control the ball in the six-yard box before blasting it into the roof of the net.
While Leeds were not able to add a third after the blistering opening first ten minutes, they remained in control of the match as they look to secure a win which will see them return to the top of the Championship table.
