News that a curious batch of new words – such as "innit" and "vlog" – are to be incorporated into Scrabble have angered some traditionalists. The Daily Express rails against the plans in Monday's leader. "What a shame that slang words such as 'innit' and 'thang' are to be permitted in Scrabble. Collins, which makes the rules, should at least attempt to keep up with standards. Or as we shall have to learn to say from now on: it should do the right thang, innit."
