Explosive Emmerdale autumn storyline revealed as Moira’s 'dangerous' affair is exposed

Emmerdale is is for an explosive ride this autumn as Moira Dingle’s “dangerous” affair with farm hand Nate Robinson is exposed during the much-anticipated super soap week in October.

Coira fans won’t be pleased to hear that Moira (Natalie J. Robb) and Nate (Jurell Carter) will be involved in a steamy “full-blown” affair over the hot summer months.

But everything will come falling down as their betrayal is revealed in dramatic scenes this autumn.

And you can bet Moira’s volatile husband Cain, played by Jeff Hordely, will want revenge.

Teasing the shocking scenes, Emmerdale producer Kate Brooks said: “Nate and Moira will be having a full-blown affair. It’s going to be dangerous, it’s going to be very steamy, it’s going to ruffle a lot of feathers in the village.

“Obviously Moira is married to Cain, who is the ultimate bad boy, so when he does find out it will be explosive and there will be lots of drama and ramifications for all of our characters involved.

“So it’s going to be exciting, we’re going to be along for the ride, we’re going to get to the core of why this affair has happened and the consequences to it.

This will come to a head in October - we like to do our big weeks in October to set the autumn schedules alight, so this will all come out in the open in October.

She added: “It’s going to be a massive, massive week of drama, very very story-led. There’s going to be a lot of tears, a lot of action and a lot of heartbreak. So that’s all to look forward to.”

But it looks like the fallout could rumble on until Christmas.

Revealing that they had just begun storylining their festive episodes, executive producer Jane Hudson hinted that everything would build up to an action-packed Christmas .

She said: “Everything we’ve been building to will be very explosive at Christmas time, which will lead us into a special week early in the New Year.“So we have got a hell of a lot going on, it’s fair to say!”

Emmerdale airs weekdays on ITV at 7pm with extra episodes on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8pm
