Experts reveal Khloé Kardashian's secret for a vibrant yard, it's so simple anyone can recreate it

We've all had the experience of buying a plant, planting it in the ground, and having it wither away no matter how much TLC it gets. One glance at Khloé Kardashian's garden and it's clear this isn't the case for the socialite.

Her front yard garden is thriving, practically bursting with a vibrant green olive bush and white flowers. What's her secret? We consulted with Homes & Gardens's Head of Gardens Rachel Bull to get the scoop on how Khloé keeps the outdoor space looking so lush. According to Rachel, it comes down to the fact that Khloé has planted for the local area.

When asked about Khloe's backyard idea, Rachel stated: 'The olive bush in Khloe’s exterior living space is abundant, vibrant and clearly thriving. It is in incredible condition. The dense dark green leaves are glossy and lush, and perfectly complement Khloe’s incredible dress of the same shade.' The impressive bush immediately stands out and is a refreshing alternative to just an olive tree which while a huge garden trend, it's not particularly unique.

Rachel attributes the plant's health to the California climate. Planting locally can ensure a much more sustainable garden. Rachel said, 'Olive is native to the Mediterranean, and therefore loves warm, dry climates, and flourishes in states like California and Arizona. They are drought-tolerant plants, and ideal for growing en masse in warmer areas to create a statuesque, expensive feel.'

Furthermore, olive trees are an incredibly resilient plant, making them an excellent choice for any garden. 'An emblem of peace, wisdom, and abundance, once established in a yard these evergreen shrubs are virtually indestructible, ' says Rachel. She continues, 'This image is a masterclass - not just in styling, but also in showing how plants in their right environment will thrive.'

Whether it's an olive tree, a type of flower, or a cactus, all plants thrive best in the environment they were built for. By focusing on planting locally, you give your garden plants the best chance to thrive. You might even be able to get your garden looking as fabulous as Khloe's.
