Experts don’t exactly see Bengals picking up first win vs. Ravens

While the A.J. Green saga surrounding his contract, injury and playing future commands the attention, the Cincinnati Bengals actually have a game this weekend.

Those Bengals return from a bye to play host to the red-hot Baltimore Ravens. And understandably, 100 percent of experts based on polling from NFL Pick Watch don’t see the Bengals steering away from 0-9.

It’s hard to disagree. The Bengals have droves of problems and now turn to rookie Ryan Finley under center. That’s unlikely to be a quick fix for droves of problems — more likely it signals the organization going into full-blown evaluation mode as they prep for prime draft positioning in 2020.

Those Ravens looking so good lately doesn’t help the outlook regardless of where the game gets played.

Baltimore, after all, has MVP-contending Lamar Jackson under center and has rattled off four wins in a row, including a shocking triumph over the New England Patriots, 37-20.

These teams met in Week 6, a 23-17 win for Baltimore in which Jackson erupted for 152 yards and a score on the ground and Cincinnati’s only touchdowns came on a kickoff return and a last-second quarterback rushing score.

While there is always a chance for an upset, experts have largely been against the Bengals in the picks department this season for good reason. It’s on Zac Taylor and the Bengals to change their minds.
