The Cincinnati Bengals aren’t favorites by any measure going into next Monday’s primetime showdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
But it would make sense to suggest they’re something of a savvy underdog pick going into the game.
Ask the experts though and that’s not an option. At NFL.com, every single expert asked to make a projection picks against the Bengals — with one even suggesting a 33-0 outcome.
That 33-0 score would be a downright stunning indictment on primetime of a team that has thrown in the towel without Joe Burrow, so Bengals fans will have to hope the end result isn’t anything close to that.
On paper, the Bengals still have life in the playoff standings, though it’s understandable if fans are looking more closely at the current NFL draft order.
