Expert tabs Zac Taylor’s Bengals as ‘perfect sleeper team’

The Cincinnati Bengals aren’t often the recipient of national praise thanks to the slog of the Marvin Lewis era over the last few years.

But when it does happen, experts don’t have a hard time listing off the talent on the roster.

That’s what happens above on a new edition of “Good Morning Football” where Peter Schrager calls the Bengals the “perfect sleeper team” going into 2019.

And Schrager’s co-hosts agree — the talent is there and the new energy around the team thanks to Zac Taylor’s arrival seems like a good development. The remodels, rule changes, embracing of social media and media in general, it all seems to pair better with the young roster than the old regime did.

While Taylor himself is a bit polarizing as a coach thanks to his age, Schrager and Co. are at least encouraged by the early signs.

And in a division dominated by Cleveland headlines lately, the Bengals going overlooked wasn’t unexpected, which indeed seems to make them an ideal sleeper.
