We already knew that Michigan State is in the mix to land commitments from top 2021 prospects like Jaden Akins and Max Christie, but one name we haven’t heard much about is 5-star Center Charles Bediako. The Spartans offered Bediako back in November, but there hasn’t been much news around his recruitment since. However, in a recent article from basketball recruiting analyst Corey Evans of Rivals.com, not only does he think MSU is still in the mix for Bediako, he actually thinks they are “in the lead” to land his commitment at this point.
This is definitely news to fans of Michigan State Basketball as Bediako currently has a 67% chance to go to Alabama according to the 247sports projections.
If they are able to bring in the 6’11” big man, it would be a major land for Tom Izzo and his staff. 247sports has Bediako ranked as the No. 3 center in the 2021 class and their composite rankings have him ranked as the No. 1 player in Ontario.
