Expert makes huge Conor McGregor net worth prediction as star nears billionaire status

Conor McGregor is on target to achieve his goal of becoming a billionaire before he is 35, an expert has predicted.

Leading US sports analyst Andrew Petcash claims the fighter will beat his own ambition by at least a year based on current earnings.

McGregor, 33, told ESPN in 2020 he would be a billionaire by the time he was 35.

But now it looks like the Notorious is set to achieve it by the time he turns 34 in July.

Sports entrepreneur Petcash, who compiles online sports newsletter the Petcash Post, posted his McGregor forecast on Twitter.

He tweeted: “Conor McGregor will be a [dollar] billionaire this year, (earning) $235m from fighting and a $600m deal off the ring.

“McGregor makes a lot from fighting. A study by OLBG found that he makes over $8m for every minute in the octagon.”

He added that the scrapper from Crumlin in Dublin pocketed his share of a $400million purse with Floyd Mayweather for their fight – the second most watched of all time.

Describing him as “a huge asset to advertisers” he also listed his endorsements which include Reebok, Burger King, Beats by Dre, Wynn Resorts, MonsterEnergy and EA.

He continues: “McGregor made $158m last year – it’s the most ever by an athlete.

“McGregor invested in his own fitness program, FAST, a program (that) helps users get into fighting shape. Last year it did $5m in revenue.

“August McGregor, his fashion and lifestyle line, created alongside A-list tailor David Heil makes luxury suits for the likes of Elon Musk.

“Around $50m/year in profits is created by this menswear brand.

Petcash added that “a huge acquisition is on the horizon” for the sports star who owns a fleet of high end cars and a €3million Lamborghini yacht.

He tweeted: “The Mac Life, Conor’s media house has 1.2m subscribers on YouTube and every video gets six figure views bringing in $1000s of ad revenue.

“In April 2021, McGregor sold his majority stake to Proximo Spirits for $600m. He is estimated to have made $150m from this deal.”
