Experienced motor trader takes his new personal service pitch to the nationals

An experienced Grimsby motor trader is putting customer service in the driving seat as he goes up against national franchise operations.

Kenny Gilmore hopes a reputation built over 25 years in the industry will be the key to success for new start-up Instant Car Buyer. It is a new venture he believes will fill a niche, championing an individual and personalised service.

Five years on from selling his stake in Grimsby Cars Ltd, he is looking forward to bringing his extensive industry knowledge and experience to the new venture, buying from the public and selling to the trade.

He said: “Putting customers’ needs first was always my priority. Selling your car can be a daunting process, and over the past two and half decades, how to navigate that effectively and accessibly is something I have come to thoroughly understand. That’s why I’ve created Instant Car Buyer and I’ve put the work in to make the entire process as easy as possible for my customers.

“I know there are a lot of companies out there that you could sell your car to. But I’m different and pride myself on my unique approach. Unlike others, I won’t offer you a tempting online price and then let you down, I will give an honest appraisal of your vehicle and then make you an offer. What’s more, if you’re located within a 10-mile radius of Instant Car Buyer, based in Grimsby, I will come to you, free of charge, and pay you the same day.”

He is offering the area’s very first at-home approach to car buying, with a pledge of no anonymous phone calls, no call centres or other faceless interaction.

Mr Gilmore’s vehicle valuations will be calculated using the latest in market-leading tools as he channels his work with all major car brands to “talk the talk and walk the walk with the experience to back it all up”.
