Your time on the University of Georgia campus was the best four (or five or six) years of your life. This place never leaves you and the UGA Alumni Association welcomes alumni and their family and friends for a special weekend in the Classic City on March 21-23.
Now is your chance to relive the glory days and be a college student again (without the 8:00 a.m. classes or tests) for a weekend. Experience what life is like for a Bulldog in 2019 and revisit some of your favorite spots around campus and in Athens.
President Jere W. Morehead welcomes you with a special Orientation Dinner on Thursday and wraps things up with a Commencement Brunch on Saturday morning in the Sanford Stadium SkyClub. In between, build your own “class schedule” or visit one of the many events planned for alums and family for the weekend. Dine like a student in UGA’s newest dining hall, take classes with some of UGA’s most outstanding professors, and have the option to attend campus events such as TEDxUGA, a baseball game or a musical performance.
For the football fans (and try to find an alum who doesn’t bleed Red & Black), two special exhibits and tours are essential. The Sanford Stadium West End Zone tour is Saturday at 3:00pm. Checkout the $63 million renovation, including the new locker room and recruiting area. In addition, the Fighting Spirit-Wally Butts and UGA Football (1939-1950) is a must see. The Hargrett Rare Book & Manuscript Library’s exhibition explores the fate of the Georgia Bulldogs in the years surrounding World War II. The exhibit is open daily from 8:00am-5:00pm. Both the stadium tour and exhibit are free.
