Expensive OTC machinery stolen as burglars break in through roof

At least five high-value welding machines have been stolen from a Bedminster industrial unit.

Police are appealing for information after a burglary off South Liberty Lane, believed to have happened between 5pm on Tuesday (August 4) and 8am the next day.

An Avon and Somerset police spokesman said: "At least five ‘OTC’ welding machines were taken after offenders gained access through the roof to a building at Liberty Industrial Park in Bedminster."

Investigating officer PC Alford added: “We’d like anyone with information which could help with our investigation to get in touch with us.

“The company targeted in this burglary are the only importer of these machines in the UK at this time, so we’d ask that anyone noticing these items for sale via online third parties to check the legitimacy of the seller and report anything you believe to be stolen to us.”

If you can help, call police on 101 or via the website, quoting reference 5220175069.

You can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via its Anonymous Online Form.
