Expedia update customers on their upcoming trips

Expedia have given an update to customers on bookings made between now and April 30.

Those who had a trip planned through the travel website, that they can no longer attend due to the coronavirus outbreak will now be able to cancel or change their dates.

In a statement on Facebook the travel website says: "We know you are concerned about your trip, and we're so sorry you've had difficulty making adjustments. We're working hard to update our systems. If you are traveling between now and April 30, new updates may allow you to change or cancel your trip".

If you've booked a hotel, flight or package with Expedia that is due to take place between now and April 30 you should log into your account and head to your bookings.

There you can manage your itinerary and change or cancel your trip as the site has now extended this due to the coronavirus outbreak.

If your trip is booked for May onward and you're worried it may also be affected, keep an eye out on Expedia's social media pages and home page for any updated info.

The site has asked customers 'that if you're not traveling within the next 72 hours, please wait to call' as they're 'experiencing unprecedented call volumes'.
