Expected Tottenham team to face Manchester City: Pochettino to make two key changes to side

Mauricio Pochettino has more options at his disposal as his players grow fitter and fitter and he must name the perfect XI to take on a rampant Manchester City side.

The Spurs boss left Jan Vertonghen out of his squad to face Aston Villa while Christian Eriksen was named on the bench before coming on and helping change the course of the game.

Pochettino hinted to football.london on Friday that Kyle Walker-Peters was likely to start against Pep Guardiola's men after his impressive display against Villa.

He also said that new signing Giovani Lo Celso will not start against the league champions but could be involved on the bench and the Argentine has since travelled with the squad to Manchester.

However, still on the injury list are Dele Alli and Ryan Sessegnon (both hamstring) while Juan Foyth is injured (ankle) and suspended and Son Heung-min is serving the final game of his three-match ban.

Here is the team that we reckon Pochettino will go for and we've also taken a stab at guessing the substitutes on the bench.

(4-3-1-2/diamond) Lloris; Walker-Peters, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose; Sissoko, Winks, Ndombele; Eriksen; Lucas, Kane. Subs: Gazzaniga, Aurier, Sanchez, Dier, Skipp, Lamela, Lo Celso.
