'Expectation is growing' - the final word on Nottingham Forest enjoying Derby bragging rights

The dust has now settled on Nottingham Forest’s victory at the weekend when they saw off Derby County for the third time in 2019.

Lewis Grabban’s second half goal means that Sabri Lamouchi’s Reds have gone into the international break sitting fifth in the Championship, and supporters enjoying bragging rights over the Rams yet again.

Next up, Bristol City lie in wait for the Reds once they return next weekend in a clash which see fifth take on sixth with Lamouchi hoping for a better response that what followed after the previous break.

The 1-0 success against the Rams was the second masterminded by Lamouchi, coming on the back of a 3-0 win in the Carabao Cup earlier this season, while under Martin O’Neill, Yohan Benalouane’s quick finish after 74 seconds ensured an only goal win – this being the first time the Reds have won three in a row against the Rams since Brian Clough’s tenure in 1990.

Nottinghamshire Live’s Barry Cooper and Steve Nicholson from Derbyshire Live have now reflected on the victory, and where it leaves both sides ahead of a busy Christmas period.
