This week’s World Digital Song Sales chart is dominated by an artist who is simultaneously famous, and relatively unknown. He has been embroiled in many controversies, and is now attempting a second act as a musician, and looking at his momentary wins on the Billboard rankings, things seem to be going okay.

Behind him, several of the most beloved acts in South Korea find their way to the list with new releases, while one group reaches the purchase-only ranking with their first-ever single.

Here are five tracks whose moves are worth noting on this week’s World Digital Song Sales chart.

No. 1 - Miles Guo - “Hcoin to the Moon”

Mysterious Chinese billionaire and controversial political commentator Miles Guo (the name he uses for his musical output) is back on the Billboard charts with his latest release “Hcoin to the Moon.” The tune opens at No. 1 on the World Digital Song Sales ranking, conquering the tally with ease. The cut also reaches other purchase-focused lists, including the all-genre Digital Song Sales tally, where it starts off at No. 28 with just under 2,800 copies sold, according to MRC Data.

No. 9 - Chung Ha - “Killing Me”

Chung Ha is back on the World Digital Song Sales chart with her new single “Killing Me,” which begins its time inside the top 10 on the tally. The former I.O.I. member found success with that girl group, and in the years since the band split, she has continued to reach the tally in America from time to time. It appears that “Killing Me,” the title track from her single album of the same name, marks her fourth trip to the top 10 as a solo star.

No. 10 - Stray Kids - “Christmas EveL”

South Korean boy band Stray Kids continue to appear on the charts in America, with their holiday-themed single “Christmas EveL” debuting inside the top 10 on this week’s World Digital Song Sales ranking. The tune adds to the band’s ever-growing list of hits, and the band is quickly approaching 20 top 10 smashes on this specific roster. The cut is one of four featured on their Christmas EP Christmas EveL, and next week some of the other titles might reach this same tally.

No. 12 - IVE - “Eleven”

Brand new South Korean girl group IVE earns a special debut on this week’s World Digital Song Sales chart with their first-ever single “Eleven,” which is featured on a single album of the same name. The tune opens at No. 12, which is a very healthy start for a band that essentially just started their career.

No. 13 - Kai - “Peaches”

After finding success with two vocal bands, Kai launched a solo career in 2020, and things have been going very well for him ever since. This frame, his new single “Peaches” launches at No. 13 on the World Digital Song Sales chart, becoming his third placement on his own and his highest-reaching tune. Two of his previous efforts stalled at No. 15. As a member of both Exo and SuperM, Kai has reached the ranking with dozens of other releases.
