Exhibtion preview: Ding>>Dong, Liverpool

An exhibition giving space to all the ways in which new music and sound art is digitally created and internationally shared through IT. Among samplings, hackings, rewirings and rebootings, artist Jane Grant, composer-musician-physicist John Matthias and sound designer Nick Ryan collaborate on The Fragmented Orchestra. Some 24 "neuron units", placed in various sites throughout the country, will feed back sound recordings into the gallery's multiple-rhythm sonic composition. In Gallery 2, Andy McCluskey gangs up with designer Peter Saville and video artist Hambi Haralambous to make music artfully assembled from the din of five electricity power stations.
