'Exhausted' Stacey Solomon admits maternity leave isn't going to plan

By Brogan-Leigh Hurst

Stacey Solomon has admitted her maternity leave isn't going to plan as she is so "exhausted".

The 32-year-old gave birth to daughter Rose in recent weeks and has been spending a lot of time in a newborn bubble at home with her family.

She has been updating her Instagram followers on her time off work and what she's been getting up to - which doesn't seem to be much.

Taking to her Story, Stacey shared a sweet black-and-white video with her adorable daughter, explaining: "Bad in bed - shocker. I am as exhausted as I look. I look like my little brother at the moment [laughing emoji]."

In the very honest video, Stacey revealed she had a lot planned for her maternity leave.

"I can't wait to get some energy and do all of the things I imagined I'd do on maternity," she continued.

"I feel a bit sad that it's flying by and the days are so short and I'm not doing anything because I'm more than half way through it and I'm feeling like I don't want it to be over."

She joked: "Rose is just like 'I don't care where we go as long as those boobs come with us'."

In recent days, Stacey shared a gorgeous series of snaps of Rose - and fans were left gobsmacked as they said she looked exactly like Joe Swash.

Posting a set of photographs, Stacey and Joe's new baby girl could be seen wearing a sage green knitted ensemble, with a matching bow around her head.

With a huge smile and bright blue eyes, Rose looked exactly like her older brother Rex and scarily similar to her dad, Stacey's partner and former King of the Jungle, Joe Swash.

Taking to Instagram to celebrate six weeks with her bundle of joy, Stacey penned a sweet paragraph to accompany the set of images.

The former X Factor and I'm A Celebrity star wrote: "Smiley Rose. Today Rose showed us her happy face for the first time and it was everything.

"The faces we pulled and noises we made though, she must have thought 'what are these people?' No wonder she was laughing."

She then said: "Aw Rose that was the best 3 minutes so far. We promise to try our hardest to make you smile like this forever and ever.

"Happy 6 weeks princess pickle. We love you to the moon and back little one. 16/11/21."
