MUMBAI: Chief minister Eknath Shinde on Thursday cancelled all his official engagements for the day as he was not feeling well. Shinde was on a tour of the state for a week and was exhausted. “The chief minister was feeling unwell due to overexertion in the last few days. So he decided to take a day off to rest,” Shinde’s office said in a statement.
Shinde’s schedule for the day included the chairing of a meeting to prepare for a NITI Aayog review meet. There are several projects in the state that are being monitored by the NITI Aayog, which takes a review of these projects and schemes periodically.
Then, Shinde was to review crop sowing and the ongoing agricultural season. In many parts of the state, sowing has been impacted because of long dry spells. Shinde’s office said that beside his office work, he has been holding party workers’ meetings.
