Exeter paper celebrates campaign success

The Exeter Express & Echo didn't have to wait long for success in its campaign to have a community sports pitch reopened. The construction company Carillion changed its mind within days of the paper calling for action because people were not allowed to use the West Exe pitch. Now Carillion has relented and the pitch, constructed with public money, will reopen in two weeks' time. The company has also apologised to all those affected by the closure.
