Exeter office building sold for more than £9million

One of Exeter's most recognisable office buildings has been sold for a huge £9.36million.

The Senate Court block was sold by owners Prydis, who are the company behind plans to redevelop the House of Fraser on Exeter High Street.

They say they have returned a £2m profit for their investors in 26 months, Devon Live reported.

The 33,362 sq ft office building where Prydis had its headquarters also houses tenants including law firm Foot Anstey and The Insolvency Service.

Commercial property agent, Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH), advised Prydis on the sale.

A statement said Prydis bought the building in April 2017 as an investment for members of its Precedence Club which invests for 'high net worth and sophisticated investor clients'.

Prydis secured planning permission to add an additional floor.

Joe Priday, Managing Director at Prydis, said: “Exeter is a fast-growing city with a strong university, which continues to attract more and more new residents and businesses to the area. This transaction is brilliant news for our investors and for the local economy, delivering a win-win deal for all parties.”
