
A 27-year-old man has been charged with the murders of three elderly men in Exeter.
Alexander Lewis-Ranwell, from Braunton, has been charged with the murder of Anthony Payne, aged 80, who was found dead on Monday.
He is also charged with the murders of 84-year-old twin brothers Richard and Roger Carter, whose bodies were found on Tuesday.
Post-mortems found all three men died of "sustained serious head injuries".
Lewis-Ranwell has also been charged with two offences of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
He remains in custody and is due to appear at Exeter Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.
