Exeter Chiefs just scored the fastest Premiership final try in history against Saracens

Exeter Chiefs didn't hang about in their Premiership final against Saracens.

Aussie Nic White set a record for the fastest try in Premiership final history at Twickenham this afternoon when he burrowed his way over after just 27 seconds.

Chiefs kicked off proceedings and the ball went straight through George Kruis' hands before the bounce evaded scrum-half Ben Spencer.

Welshman Alex Cuthbert scooped it up before being dragged down metres short by Owen Farrell.

Then White picked up from the base and dived over.

The effort was faster than the previous record of 67 seconds, which was held by Josh Lewsey, whose effort came in the 2003 final for Wasps against Gloucester.

However, after 10 minutes, Sarries were in front courtesy of a try from Jamie George and an Owen Farrell penalty. Exeter's Henry Slade was sent to the sin bin for a deliberate knock on.
