Former Tottenham Hotspur star Paul Gascoigne has issued a transfer message to wantaway playmaker Christian Eriksen.
The 27-year-old has been heavily linked with a departure from Spurs all summer ever since he admitted to seeking a new challenge.
Eriksen has been heavily associated with a move to Real Madrid ahead of the transfer deadlines in Europe, most of which are on September 2, but the likes of Paris Saint-Germain are also reportedly emerging as an interested party.
Spurs are said to be in the dark over the Denmark international's future with a departure looking likely, but Gascoigne insists that the midfielder should stay put.
"He (Eriksen) is important to the squad and Spurs have got to keep players like him. But it's not a game anymore, though, it's a business. Player power and money talks," Gascoigne told Football London.
"If I were a player now I would want to stay at Tottenham Hotspur. I have seen the facilities and the players that they have got. They have some potentially world class players. I think it's a great club to stay at."
Gascoigne also added why turning out for Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino would have been such a treat if he was still playing professionally.
"They have a great manager as well. I would have loved to play for Pochettino. It's just the way he is. He seems calm and is a guy you would want to play for. He's always encouraging people," Gascoigne added.
Gascoigne was speaking to football.london to promote Premier Sports' coverage of the Serie A.

Premier Sports will screen up to six live Serie A matches each week including Juventus v Napoli and Lazio v Roma this weekend. See premiersports.com for details of a Special Serie A offer.
