Exclusive! Siddhaanth and I stopped talking over a petty issue... I wish I had called him, says Neha Marda

Siddhaanth Vir Surryavanshi (46) passed away on Friday afternoon while he was working out in the gym. The actor has been a part of showbiz for the last two decades and his untimely death sent shockwaves in the TV industry because many felt that he was someone who was known to be extremely fit and disciplined.

Siddhaanth’s co-actor, Neha Marda, from his show Kyun Rishton Main Katti Batti, is heartbroken and in an exclusive chat reveals how the two had stopped talking over a petty issue. The actress regrets not patching up with him. Neha says, “I remember Siddhaanth as extremely disciplined, healthy and a fitness enthusiast. He would never eat anything wrong and even at parties, I had never seen him drinking. He was such a fitness freak that we used to take advice from him on what to eat and what not to, when we wanted to lose weight. My husband and Siddhaanth became good friends and the four of us, including his wife Alesia (Raut), used to party a lot together at my home in Mumbai.”

Neha shares how last October, she had a small issue with Siddhaanth on the set. She says, “I am feeling so bad that after we had a disagreement over something, we stopped talking to each other. From being close family friends, we became just co-actors. Now I regret not calling him. Had I made that call, we would have been friends again. I just can’t believe that he is gone.”

Neha and Siddhaanth had acted earlier in the show Mamta as well. Siddhaanth made his TV debut in 2005 with Kkusum and has acted in shows like Sufiyana Ishq Mera and Ziddi Dil Maane Na. His last show was Control Room, which ended in September this year. He is survived by wife, model-choreographer Alesia Raut and two children.
