Sangita Ghosh, who is returning to television after Divya Drishti, is quite excited about her new show, Swaran Ghar. In the show, Sangita will be seen playing the role of Ronit Roy's wife Swaran and a mother of three grownup boys. She recently joined ETimes TV for an exclusive chat and shared how she never had any insecurities about playing a role of three grownup kids on-screen. In fact, she stated that she was worried if she would look convincing while playing that part. The beautiful actress also opened up on staying in a long-distance relationship and how she manages work and personal life.
"I only had one apprehension and it was that will I look like the mother of three grown up kids on-screen? My worry was that I should look convincing as the mother of three grown up kids. There was no insecurity or a thought like 'Oh, I am playing mother to three grown up kids'. I was quite ok about the idea and in fact I didn’t even think about the age thing and all. The story is about Swaran and her emotions, the situation and difficulties she goes through that mattered to me. As I mentioned earlier my only worry was I should look convincing like a mother of three grown up boys," said she.
Talking about staying in a long-distance relationship, Sangita said, "It is difficult to always be connected to your partner. Every evening, night and after a hard day's work, you are not together back at home but we both put in a lot of effort to meet and spend quality time together. Whenever I get two day’s off, I travel and go back to meet him. I either go back and meet him or go and see my mother. He makes trips to the places wherever I am working, shooting. So we try and put in a lot of effort. But like every relationship goes through ups and downs we also have ours. Whether you are living together or are in a long-distance relationship there are ups and downs and we deal with it."
When ETimes TV asked the actress how she manages work and personal life, she shared that her family is very supportive and her in-laws get excited every time she signs a new show. "Yes, I maintain a balance in my personal and professional life. And I am able to do it because I’ve a very good and supportive family. It is a family which includes my mother, my extended family which includes my in-laws. From the time I’ve got married they have never asked why I am working, which role I am doing or why I am doing. They all get very excited when I do a new show or a new project. I am really blessed that way where I don’t need to talk to convince anyone to let me work. My husband is also very supportive towards my profession and he tells me I am free to do whatever I feel like doing, but for me and my husband, family comes first. I actually learnt this quality from my husband that family is always the priority. You need to make an effort to be in touch to stay in touch,” shares the actress.
