Love Island is switching up their much loved TV dating show as sexy singles swap sandy Spanish beaches for a scenic southside suburb for just one year only.
Dublin Live can exclusively reveal the world famous show will be set in Dalkey this summer with 12 to-be-announced contestants taking part in the opportunity of a life time.
An inside source said their inspiration for the special one-off summer change is simply down to one man's long, accidental stay in the beautiful village - Matt Damon.
Producer for the iconic programme, Itza Shoke, said she was swayed by the US actor's lockdown stay and promised to commission a series in the place home to stars like Bono, the Edge, Van Morrison and Enya.
But only on one condition, that the actor, film producer and screenwriter agreed to host the show.

Hunting to find contestants has begun with some singletons already lined up for kick off on June 31.
It is understood that Maura Derrane and Daithi O' Se will host the show's sister programme 'Aftersun in Ballymun' which will air right after Love Island.
