New Galaxy Images Reveal Samsung’s Stunning Flagship

Samsung’s upcoming launch of the Galaxy S21 family will see a three handsets launched, the eponymous Galaxy S21, the larger Galaxy S21 Plus, and the flagship Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G. But these Galaxy S handsets are like no other.

All three of the new Galaxy S models will support Samsung’s stylus. Previously restricted to the Galaxy Note phablets, the new S21 family will open up pen-based computing to a wider audience. Throw in some new colors and the updates design of the rear camera island and you have a Galaxy that takes a genuinely new look at what the ’S’ class can do.

As for the new hardware features, the team at Let’s Go Digital, with the graphical input from Snoreyn, has put together a look at the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5g along with the S-Pen and the new colour schemes exclusively for Forbes.

The big addition to the package is of course the S-Pen, and that’s going to have a notable impact on the Galaxy platform, previously the stylus has been restricted to the Note series of phablets – but as they size of regular smartphones has grown the physical advantage of the Note series has diminished.

With the S-Pen moving to the main handsets, the Top Trumps bingo advantage of having a new Samsung launch every six months with the associated ability to launch a new flagship for the second half of the year with the highest specs possible.

Trying to make that case when the difference between the Note and the Galaxy S is wafer thin would be a tough sell in a normal year – but in a year with the economic hit that has been delivered by the coronavirus pandemic moving to a yearly flagship with the best of both models makes a lot more sense.

Samsung is expected to hold a launch event for the new Galaxy handsets on January 14th 2020, coinciding with the end of the virtual CES.
