EXCLUSIVE: Full interview as Lewis Capaldi sits down with the ECHO to discuss his album, Liverpool and more

Scottish singing sensation Lewis Capaldi sat down with the Liverpool ECHO this week ahead of his sold out show in Croxteth Park.

The Someone You Loved singer discussed his number one album, breaking America and visiting Liverpool for the very first time.

Speaking to the ECHO, he said: "This is my first time ever in Liverpool, that's quite mad isn't it?

"I can't believe that it's took me so long, it's mad, it's a good gig...I am buzzing."

Lewis performed a special BBC 1 concert of his number one album Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent with the backing of a full orchestra.

He added: "12,000 people, that's amazing, you can't ask for a warmer welcome.

"It's nice to know that people enjoyed it [the album], it's nice to know that people bought it, it's nice to know that i've got a job for another year and a bit."
