Actor Sacchin Shrof, who has recently entered the show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin as Rajeev, says his mother was more excited than him at his doing the show. “Well, whether the role is a lengthy one or a cameo I can't really say much because that depends on the ratings. But yes, I will tell you the story behind how I said yes to this character. I got a call for this role and I was discussing the details of the character with the creatives. After I hung up the phone, my mother asked me who had called me and for which show was the call. When I told her that the talks were still on and I got a call for Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin she asked me to say a yes because apparently, it is her favorite show,” he laughs, adding, “My role in the show is that of a chef Rajeev, who is a happy go lucky guy. He was the ex-boyfriend of Shivani bua. How the character will add in making things better for the leads will be revealed later in the show.”
Coming back to television after four years, the actor says he had his hands full all this while. “Apart from shooting for a web show, I also shot for two Bollywood films and in the meanwhile, I was at home for some time because of the pandemic. I did a lot of ad films also,” he shared.
Telling us about his journey in the industry, the Balika Vadhu actor said, “I started my journey in the year 2000 but then I was taken for several shows and then replaced because I didn’t know acting and I couldn’t even deliver a single dialogue. Directors pareshan ho jate the jab main retakes pe retakes deta tha. My first proper break was in the show Shagun wherein I was a part of the second generation.
On the personal front, Sacchin was married to actress Juhi Parmar. The two got divorced in the year 2018 and have a daughter together named Samairra. Juhi has full custody of her child. So ask Sachhin about his bond with Samairra and he says, "Fatherhood is going great. Whenever I am in Mumbai, I try and go and meet her. Things are nice between us. Whenever we meet we have our little chats. Earlier because of COVID, I was not taking her out but now we have started going out together. We go together to malls. From my side, I share a selfless bond with my daughter."
Ask Sacchin about plans of getting married again in the future, and he says, "I have not thought about all that as of now. I haven't actually thought about getting married or having a partner in my life."
