Ahead of the launch of his upcoming autobiography "Even Heskey Scored" , Liverpool favourite Emile Heskey has opened the lid on his time at the club in a Blood Red podcast special.
Theo Squires and Joe Rimmer chat through the former striker's best times in a Liverpool shirt from arriving as a club-record signing from Leicester in 2000 through to playing an integral role in the 2000/01 treble winning season.
He talks us through on-field relationship with Michael Owen and the relationship he also had with manager Gerard Houllier , plus so much more.
As well as focusing on matters at Anfield, he reflects on his goal in England's 5-1 win over Germany, with all five goals coming from Liverpool players.
He also touches on leaving Liverpool, how that move came about and why he had no option but to move onto pastures new.
The former Reds forward's book is available now for pre-order, if you want to head here.
Enjoy.
