Exclusive Edinburgh society to hold 'gothic' Halloween bash with creepy cocktails

The Scotch Malt Whisky Society have announced they will be holding an exclusive Halloween bash this month, complete with everything from tarot readers to creepy cocktails.

Located on Queen Street, the establishment's iconic townhouse will be transformed into the spooky lair, complete with everything from black lace draped walls to magicians.

Offering locals the chance to experience an evening of 'gothic glamour', ticket holders will be able to access all four floors of the building, with live music and entertainment throughout the evening.

Costing £25 per person, complimentary whisky cocktails will also be served up to those attending on October 27, including the 'Halloween must-try', Devil’s Cocktail.

If you’re feeling adventurous, a clairvoyant and tarot card reader will also be available in the first floor Library Room to peer into your future. Meanwhile, guests in the Pip Hills room can enjoy a selection of black and white horror films, pick and mix and a trolley full of gruesome treats.

Guests are encouraged to dress up for the ‘Gothic Glamour’ theme of the party, and all attendees will have the opportunity to make their own potions and lotions at our whisky tasting, where they will be able to create their own drink and take home a miniature bottle.

Sarah Prior, general manager at The Scotch Malt Whisky Society Queen Street, said:

“Ghosts, ghouls, and, of course, residents of Edinburgh are invited to join us this Halloween as we bring Queen Street to life for a night of mystery and mayhem. This event is one of a kind for the Society and not to be missed, with a host of spooky entertainment and, of course, a selection of the finest Scotch malt whiskies to choose from”

Advance booking is required, tickets are £25 per person and available here.
