Exclusive: Civilian homes destroyed in Sinai military operation

Al Jazeera has obtained exclusive footage from the Sinai Peninsula showing the aftermath of an Egyptian military operation.

Armed forces moved in one month ago to root out Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) fighters and other armed groups.

But residents in the area say they are under siege and their homes have been destroyed.

Al Jazeera's Charlotte Bellis reports.
