Bigg Boss 13 fame Himanshi Khurana, who recently released her new song Gallan Bholiyan joined ETimes TV for an exclusive interaction. The Punjabi singer and actress opened up about not doing OTT projects as she has her limitations. Himanshi added that she won’t take up a project which would demand her to do intimate scenes. She also revealed that she was also offered Hate Story 4 but refused to do it owing to similar reasons. The actress further talked about how it feels to work with boyfriend Asim and added that the two always prioritize their work.
"Yes, I am open to working on OTT but I've my set of limitations. I don't think I would be comfortable doing intimate scenes. These days web series have a lot of intimate and bold content and it has become a demand of that platform. Sometimes it seems that it has become compulsory to have bold content in web shows and I’ve been offered a few shows in the past but I’ve turned them down. Nobody forces us to do it and it is my individual choice that I don’t want to be a part of such content."
She further added, "Punjabi industry has also started making web series these days but they are not that established that I would do a project here to be honest. I will always do films because here in Punjab clean and good films are made. Punjabi cinema is quite vast and the audience is also huge overseas. Right now I am enjoying working in films but if I am offered a good project on OTT which is clean, I am up for it."
Himanshi revealed that she was offered Hate Story 4 but she turned down the project because of the bold content, "Before Bigg Boss I was offered a few films which had bold and intimate content. As you are aware a lot of actors from Punjabi industry keep working in Bollywood. I was offered 3 big Bollywood projects and one of them was Hate Story 4. A popular Punjabi actress worked in that film ultimately but it was offered to me also. They had shortlisted a few popular names around 5-6 from Punjabi industry and I was one of them but as I wasn’t comfortable I did not take it up. It was out of my comfort zone," said the singer-actress.
Himanshi shared that when Asim and she are working on music, they always share creative inputs with each other, "When Asim and I are working on different projects or doing something individually, we take each other’s suggestion. When we are releasing our song which is sung by us we do share with each other and take inputs. We professionally talk to each other and take creative inputs. When I made him hear my latest song, he really liked it and it was my idea to have him in the music video. When I spoke to him and everyone on the projects, they all agreed," she said
Talking about sharing screen space with beau Asim Riaz, the actress shared, "Yes, it is always a great feeling to work with Asim as I get to spend time with him. Sometimes, just being around someone you love makes you feel good. When we are on sets we are professional completely and once we get free time only then we sit and talk. If we are shooting separately and if I have time, I drop on sets to meet him but I patiently wait in his vanity for him so that he finishes his shoot and returns. Our preference is always first."
Himanshi also revealed that they have worked on a track where Asim has rapped while she has sung, but it isn't decided when it will be released, "There are a few things we are working on. We are working on a track which has Asim and my voice, now let’s see when we plan to release it," she concluded.
