Talk about two best friends who are set to embrace fatherhood around the same time. Wouldn’t it be fun to discuss daddy duties and prepping together for the new journey? Something similar is happening with Ayaz Khan and his best friend, Karan Singh Grover. While Karan’s wife, actress Bipasha Basu is due in November, Ayaz’s wife Jannat is expected to deliver in December.
Ayaz says, “I always joked with Karan that we should plan our babies together. We could get a package deal from the gynaecologist to do two deliveries simultaneously. It’s funny that what I wished for has come true. Karan and I are expecting babies around the same time... a month apart. It’s fabulous that this has happened.”
The Dill Mill Gayye actors have lengthy discussions on fatherhood and share tips, too. Ayaz says, “As everyone knows, the four of us are extremely close and I feel that having babies at the same time will make life easier. We will be on the same page, be it regarding family holidays or our children’s schooling. We advise and consult each other about being prepared for fatherhood. Karan and I discuss a lot of things, including daddy duties. Actually, all four of us talk about parenthood, babies, and the inputs we have. How we should take care of our wives and how we are coping with every phase.”
He adds, “I think it really helped that they got pregnant a month before us because all the research they are doing is coming in handy for Jannat and me. We have got an encyclopedia on how to deal with your first pregnancy on speed dial (smiles).”
