Exciting Wolves youngster Morgan Gibbs-White set to sign for Swansea City

Swansea City are set to sign Wolves youngster Morgan Gibbs-White.

The 20-year-old midfielder is due to join Steve Cooper's side on a season-long loan deal from the Premier League outfit.

Gibbs-White worked with Cooper during their time with England's age-grade set-up and it is another piece of impressive business from the head coach.

Swansea achieved success in the loan market last term, with Cooper bringing on board young, hungry talent from Premier League clubs to boost the club's ranks.

Freddie Woodman, Ben Wilmot, Marc Guehi, Conor Gallagher and Rhian Brewster all joined the south Wales outfit and played key roles in Swansea's charge to the Championship play-offs.

Cooper looks to have repeated that trick with Gibbs-White, who has made more than 70 appearances for Wolves and is highly-rated at Molineux.

He would the third recruit of the summer for Cooper, who has managed to bring Woodman back to the Liberty for another season on loan from Newcastle United, while he also sealed a free transfer deal for ex-Bristol City man Korey Smith earlier this month.

Swansea continue to be linked with Wigan forward Jamal Lowe, while they also haven't given up hope of re-signing Brewster on loan from Liverpool for the 2020-21 Championship campaign.
